Job description
- To assess and identify speech, language and functional needs of children and adolescents
- Develop treatment plans and, provide evidenced-based group and individual therapy for children with:
- Speech and language delays,
- Language and communication disorders,
- Feeding and swallowing disorders,
- Autism and,
- Other development disorders
Responsibilities
- Formulate and deliver a complete specialized speech and language therapy program based on sound knowledge of evidence based practice and treatment options
- Effectively write SLT assessment reports
- Maintain files and records for the purpose of documenting activities
- Maintain inventory of equipment and resources and, to keep supplies in a clean and usable condition
- Participate in quality improvement projects and develop new therapy programs
- Facilitating groups and develop IEPs related to SLT services in CDC Early Intervention Program
Job requirement
- Minimum Degree in Speech and Language Therapy
- Holds a valid practicing certificate with Allied Health Professions Council
- Advantage: Experience in Paediatric Population
- Good communication (oral and written) and interpersonal skills
- Able to work in team and independently
- Demonstrates effective oral and written communication skills
- A resourceful person and team player
- Committed to stay competent and up-to-date with current practices
