Dr Chia Foong Lin is an accredited paediatrician with the Ministry of Health. She specialises in general paediatrics. She has a vast experience in treating common newborn and childhood illnesses such as jaundice, respiratory infections, allergy and asthma. Dr Chia graduated from the National University of Singapore with MBBS in 1985 and Master of Medicine in 1990. She obtained her paediatric fellowship with the Academy of Medicine Singapore in 1996 and was entered into the Roll of Specialist in 1997.
Prior to joining SBCC, Dr Chia has been running her own paediatric practice for 27 years, providing care for her patients in a clinic which is open every day. She looked after babies from the delivery room to the general nursery, checking on their growth and development and providing vaccinations. She attended to sick children at hospital emergency consultations. She takes pride to attending the children when they are ill as they grow up and then derive even more joy when she attends to their next generation of babies.
